The lotus is one of my favourite flowers. It is sacred in Eastern traditions--that whole rising-out-of-the-muck thing. The lotus doesn't complain about the muck or refuse to move out of it or get stuck. It grows. The muck is a stage; just as we have stages in our lives. We can learn a lot from Nature. :-) Happy Sunday & Happy Summer Solstice, too.
