Back Yard Sunrises

Winter time seems to have the most colourful sunrises. Wherever I've been, they seem pinker in the winter:
Bay House.
At the River House.
And this past week:

Thursday morning, I awoke to Reggie making a growly-barky noise. Usually he does that when he wakes up and Bingo isn't on her bed near him. But that is not what he was making noise about. It was this:
When I saw this, I gasped. By the time I got my camera, it had turned from crimson red to this.

It transitions very quickly:

Tomorrow is my birthday. I turn 50. How did that happen? I'm sure everyone with a birthday ending in a zero asks that question! It has made me reflect back on my life and with that reflection comes such gratitude for where I am--and who I am, today. With that in mind, in honour of my b-day, and in lieu of gifts, I'm requesting that you donate to Animal Adoption and Rescue. This was the rescue organization that saved Maggie and Millie:
M&M had been dumped on the side of Jefferson Davis Highway.
One more of M&M, just because:
Zzzzzz . . . in my office.
AARF also brought me my sweet Bingo:

They are tireless and dedicated in their commitment to saving dogs and the world is a better place because of them. A special THANK YOU to Mari!
Mari, who rescued M&M, saying goodbye as they head home with me.  :-)

Today is a New Day

There is beauty in this moment
of Light across the land
Time to take a breath
Time to take a stand
To do what's right
To call in peace
With open arms
We are free.

May you have a new happiest day in your life. ~John Morgan

Forgetting the Bad

The above picture is a Grasshopper Note quote from John. He said it to me in a conversation. The photo is a shot of one of the hundreds of sunrises I used to watch in my old backyard. *sigh* LOVEly. So I was a bit . . . down, yesterday. Not something I usually admit to, but there it is. Too many notes. So here's the good: the gratitude I feel for friends & fam. THANK YOU for your kind words. Doug is on the road this week for us and called yesterday to get a head count for our seminars last night. He went all Ericksonian on me. It was v. cute. And John, my boss, my friend, manages to say the right thing at the right time. THANK YOU. I really am so blessed.
It is hard to feel anything else when you feel grateful.
P.S. I received a comment from a fellow percussor enthusiast for my Percussor 101 blogpost. A friend! Carol Porter lives in Hawaii & wrote a great Sept. 17th post on her own percussor experiences. (I tried to click on the actual post to create a link, but it didn't work, so that's why I'm giving the date for it). Hi Carol! :-) H.

Eckhart Tolle Quote-of-the-Day

Sunrise lesson on Light & dark

There is only one perpetrator of evil on the planet: human unconsciousness. That realization is true forgiveness. With forgiveness, your victim identity dissolves, and your true power emerges--the power of Presence. Instead of blaming the darkness, you bring in the light.

Birthday Poem

My prayer for you is that
you'll find your way
through the stress and strife

of every day

That you come to PEACE
within your heart
with the LOVE of God
that isn't far

In all your work
May your soul shine through
with healing LIGHT
in all that you do.
