Road Trip to Indiana

A few pix from Dee's yard:

Largest Cottonwood Tree in the World.

On our way, we drove over Cumberland Gap & stopped:

Into our Ether Chakras: Appreciating the wonder and beauty of Nature. :-)
 View of the valley.

And then we came upon a really horrendous accident. Dee said, "Pull over," and as I was pulling over, a tire went rolling across the road in front of us. The car was on fire, but fortunately a passerby had a fire extinguisher. They passed a baby thru the window. Horrible, but everyone got out. I've googled to find he accident, but haven't been able to. I think we were on I-68.

The FABULOUS Chloe Wordsworth, creator of Resonance Repatterning, with Dee.

Dee researched before our trip & LOOK!

Chartres labryinth. AWESOME!!!

On the way back, Dee said my tires were looking low. So we stopped. I am now the proud owner of a tire gauge. YAY, me! So Dee checked the pressure & for $.75 we filled the tires with the proper poundage of air.

Check yer tars fer ya, mam?

We stopped at a Cracker Barrel somewhere in Ohio. They had these v. cool trees with the berry-thingies on them:

Then we went inside and it smelled like gas. I said to the hostess, "It smells like gas." And she said, "Yes, we have people on the roof. But it's OK in here."  Well. Not if I can SMELL the gas INSIDE, it's not! So we left. But I got cool pix of the trees, so there's that. Then we had breakfast for lunch at Perkins.

We made it home v. late and have decided that next time, we're flying! Will have a full report of  the class with Chloe soooooon.

Reiki LOVE

You will find as you look back upon your life
that the moments when you have really lived
are the moments when you have done things
in the spirit of LOVE. ~William Drummond

I taught a Reiki class yesterday, my first since last year. The above quote is from chiro-sister Ruthie's shirt. I looked over and the first thing I noticed was that it was inside out. And then she explained that it was so the quote would show on her back. I love that! The class was AWESOME! They were all massage therapists and they spoke Bruce Lipton fluently--natch, having been students of Ruthie's! So it was great to have my Bruce references and arm-flailing appreciated. They were also experienced Reiki practitioners and brought their own insights and intuitive hits to the class. I forget how much I LOVE teaching until I do it again! THANKS Ruthie for the invitation and the opportunity. And many THANKS to the class for making it so much FUN!

I am sitting in my brother's v. quiet house. He and SIL arrived Saturday night. Ruthie and I sat at the gate watching the Goo Goo Dolls 4th of July concert on her DVD player while we waited. I made a sign to hold up that said, "Atlasta + Wifey." [Side note here: this is a family joke. In Mum's photo album for us, she wrote: At last! A boy! after me & Ruth. So we call him Atlasta. Hahaha] Just as we finished watching the concert, (It ROCKS!!!) I said we should stand up with the sign and look like we'd been waiting for hours. Just as we stood up, there was SIL walking toward us. Hahaha We got in around 2 a.m.-ish and D & SIL woke up the girls. It was SO SWEET! OK, we're home. Wake up...now go back to sleep. Mum was going to leave first thing Sun. a.m. but D said to look at his photos first. He rigged up a slide show on the TV. I watched the first coupla hours but then had to get ready for my Reiki class. He had 958 photos--AWESOME!!!

Quantum Change

Einstein knew that every cell in the body generates an electromagnetic field, and that energy is a common denominator in the functioning of every aspect of the human body. Einstein and other physicists sensed, however, that there is a universal energetic underpinning, something bigger that serves as an organizing causal agent…[Lynn McTaggart] summarizes recent discoveries by writing that we live in “one vast quantum field,” an energetic living matrix in which “we are constantly exchanging information”—with each other, with the field, and throughout the field. This, she believes, is why ancient healing traditions were and are so effective: healers access the energetic living matrix to help people balance their electromagnetic field. ~Chloe Wordsworth

Chloe is the creator of Resonance Repatterning and author of Quantum Change Made Easy. She has had a profound impact on my life and the lives of all her students world-wide. I’m so excited to be reading her book and to know that her work is going to a broader audience.

Many of the healing modalities I use come directly from Chloe’s teaching. Harmonic overtone chanting, breathing exercises, coloured light therapy to name a few. Why does one modality work on one person and not the other? Why can a person go from this to that and then FINALLY they discover X (acupuncture, tuning forks, fill-in-the-blank) and they are healed? Chloe says it’s because all healing modalities are perfect when they’re the right one. Resonance Repatterning teaches a simple system of kinesiology for being able to identify quickly what healing modality is appropriate for that particular issue.

The beauty of Resonance Repatterning is that it works in person or if you’re on the other side of the planet. (Think Quantum Field, we’re all connected, yada yada). On Monday morning, my boss John Morgan, called me to have me cancel his radio interview for that day. He was in the middle of passing a kidney stone—altho he managed to do his first interview through it! Anyway, I did some healing modalities for him and he was going to the doctor. A couple hours later, I walked to the post box and Chloe had sent me her book. I opened it and asked the question: What do I need to do for John right now? I turned to page 136:

Two students have reported doing Resonance Repatterning sessions on themselves to identify the pattern underneath the symptom of their painful kidney stones…The modality both practitioners needed for their individual patterns turned out to be tuning forks. They needed different notes and they needed to move the tuning forks over different areas—one over the pelvis and the other over the kidney area.

Now. I had done tuning forks on acupuncture points for John earlier. But reading that last bit, I took my proxy teddy bear and did a tuning fork around him. I could feel the energy of the stone shifting as I sensed a yellowish cloud disperse from the back of the kidney area. John was asleep during this, and when I was finished, I went down to the river with Fisherman Willie. My work was done. When John woke up, he passed the stone. He is on the mend, and garnered some new stories to tell. Always the BEST!

If you’re interested in learning more about Resonance Repatterning, I invite you to check out a class. It’s a wonderful tool for self-healing as well as for working with others. And if you ever have the opportunity to study with Chloe, GO. Even if you take the same class with her again and again, you will learn something new. I have taken her (acupuncture) Meridians class 3 (or 4?) times, and I get a deeper appreciation of this work each time. THANK YOU, Chloe. MUCH, MUCH, LOVE, :-) H.

Life is Like a Labyrinth

I was traveling with my Resonance Repatterning friends Dee & Jane to a seminar in upstate New York. It was held at the Empowerment Center, an old school in the middle of nowhere outside Goshen. I love it there. It's beautiful and remote with hundred-year-old lilac bushes that are like trees. We had driven for 6 hours and it was approaching midnight as we were on the final stretch down the back road. Up ahead were those orange barrels and a road block. That was not a good sign. The bridge was not there. Instead, there was a crane sitting in the middle of the creek, and some cryptic note saying to follow the detour signs. Detour signs? What detour signs? There were detour signs? Where?
We could see the building lit up on the hill, a 3 minute drive away. The detour signs took us in circles, so we stopped for directions. Several times. We finally got there 2 hours later. I had decided that no matter what, we were going to keep the situation cheerful. There's nothing worse than being in a situation and then getting all grumpy along with it. The situation is the situation. I would like to take credit for such enlightenment, but I had just re-read Victor Frankl's Man's Search for Meaning prior to our trip. In the whole vast configuration of things, getting lost in Goshen was spit compared to what he went through. One of the things he said after surviving the Nazi concentration camp was, "Everything can be taken from a man but ...the last of the human freedoms - to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one's own way."
So we chose to laugh. And we did. We came upon Crack Street. Plumber jokes abounded! I think we laughed more in those 2 hours than the whole weekend, and a weekend with Chloe Wordsworth is pretty spectacular.
The next morning as the seminar was about to begin, I handed Chloe a gift which she set on a table to open later. She began by welcoming us and telling us that some people had given up and didn't make it. She said, "We've all come through a labyrinth to get here."
"Chloe," I whispered. "You have to open your gift, now. It's very appropriate." So she opened the LABYRINTH journal that I made for her. Inside I had written:

Life is Like a Labyrinth

Whatever path you are on, you ARE on a path.
Sometimes it may feel like you’re going in circles,
and then you turn the corner,
and you’re closer to your goal.
The journey is just as important as the destination.
Weather happens & the terrain may be rocky,
Seasons come and go. In all these things,
You get to choose if you’ll SMILE on your path
And who you’ll share your journey with.
May your path bring you BEAUTY, JOY,
and much, much LOVE and LAUGHTER .
BLESSINGS to you on your path, wherever you are. :-) LOVE, H.

Massage Collage

I'm a journal kinda gal. I use a basic spiral blank art pad so that I can draw, write, take notes, record quotes. On the cover of each journal, I do a collage or put a picture from a magazine that I like. Sometimes I do it at the end of the journal or before I begin. It just depends. It's a great medium when traveling: just get an Oprah magazine & scissors & go at it. I always travel with glue sticks, doesn't everyone? ;-)

Creating a collage is like a labyrinth: it's directed by your intention. I've done collages for goals and collages for inspiration. This one is my Sedona journal, an AMAZING trip I took with my friend Susan (who has an Oct. post about our trip). Sedona is such a *magical* place. Our whole trip was so inspired; we spent the week with Chloe Wordsworth at a Holographic (Resonance) Repatterning conference AND Bruce Lipton kicked it off with his Biology of Belief seminar. AWESOME! We just by chance got tickets to a sold-out concert by Deva Premal AND we took a day trip to the Grand Canyon. If you've never been to the Grand Canyon, it's a must-see before you die. And I think Bell Rock is one of my favourite places in the world--AWESOME!

This next collage was done 3 years ago and was the answer to my prayer What now? I was asking for guidance about renting space at a spa to do Reiki, education consulting, etc. At the time, I had interpreted it as a "yes," but didn't follow through. Something didn't feel right about it. Less than a year later I went to massage school. One of those wonderful life-decisions that changes you forever. Sometimes we receive guidance and misinterpret it, but somehow we get to where we're going!

So now it's collage time again. Every December I do a collage for the cover of my planner and set an intention for the year. Ah...what's in store for 2008?

Problems into Opportunities

When you resonate with being self-empowered, you will use every problem as a means for personal growth, which leads to a higher state of organization and well-being. ~Chloe Wordsworth

The secret to success is not to try to avoid or get rid of or shrink from your problems; the secret is to grow yourself so that you are bigger than any problem. ~T. Harv Eker

When God wants to give you a gift, he wraps it in a problem. ~Norman Vincent Peale
