Thankful for Bingo

Every morning we walk up the driveway and Bingo takes a detour into the woods:
She has such a dignified profile.

One of the areas Bingo scouts around. Took a pic for Mum; she said these leaves make this bush look like forsythia. Gorgeous yellow!

Some mornings have been frosty, & others have been warmish, but definitely jacket weather!
Down to the lake behind the house:

Bingo leads the way.

The leaves are browner & browner every day. See the frost across the lake?

Another gorgeous profile in the morning light.

Bingo likes to jump over these logs, heading back to the house.
She got a vizzie with friends Dana & Roy:
Hullo.
 After her vizzie:
All tuckered out!
Mum asked why I have 2 dog beds. Bingo came with them, but it's handy to have more than one because of this:

Zzzzz . . . .

Hehhhhh . . . .

"Mine."  :-)

 Another day:

So the beds work well for them both, unless:
This is why I have covers on the furniture!

Every morning Bingo greets me like I'm coming home from the war & she hasn't seen me in years. I turn on the tea kettle and then get her breakfast which I put in her Wobbler. Which often ends up here:
Stuck under a chair. Oh--and look at my new floor! (Blog post to come).

But Bingo has gotten quite proficient (& fast!) at eating with the Wobbler.

For Thanksgiving, I gave her a rib. I had a question about what kind of ribs I'm feeding her: beef ribs, raw. I get a package & cut them individually & wrap them up & freeze them. Then I take one out the night before & put it in the fridge to thaw.
YUM!

Happy Thanksgiving!
At 2 a.m. this morning Bingo woke me up, barking at the back door. I turned on the light on the back porch and there was a tan, male pit bull on the other side of the door. He looked at me with a wrinkled brow & then turned around & went down the stairs. You may wonder how I know he was male; I saw the family jewels jingling as he jotted away. "Good job, Bingo!" Amazing that she knew he was there; he wasn't making any noise.

Then she trotted to the front door and he was on the front porch! I'm hoping this is a one-time event. I'm sure the animal warden doesn't want a call in the middle of the night. On the other hand, in my sleep-deprived state, I was seeing the headline: Idiot Woman Opens Door to Strange Pit Bull in Middle of Night, funeral details on page 3. Haha

So it's been an eventful week. She's had vizzies with doggie friends and my nieces & nephews. She's had yummy treats and long walks in the woods. It's a dog's life!

This afternoon's nap.   :-)
