News from the Coop: The S-COOP!

I've been chicken-sitting for some new friends and being the compulsive photographer I am, I put together a newsletter for their time away. These are from the last two vizzies and I'm getting ready to do another one this week.  I posted this on Ledger & Lace, but thought I'd do this on my personal blog as well.  :-)

Doggie Monday

We've had warms days and snowy days. So this post is a snow sandwich; warm, bare days on either side of snow. Ready? Here we go!

The bird feeder is a source of entertainment for Reggie.
But REALLY what he's after is this:
Squirrel feeder, so they'll leave some food for the birds! Initially I screwed it on the railing, but I looked out to see Reggie gnawing on it. 'member all that rain we had? Yeah. I dismantled it, all gooey. I put it up higher so that Reggie couldn't get to it.
 And then this:
Cheeky.
Here's Bingo hanging out on the porch:

So distinguished. This is her "Bingo for President" look.

Reggie coming to say hullo. Hullo. A bit muddy!

Hullo.

Pensive.

Presidential.
 Reggie comes back:

*yawn*

*yawn*

Hullo.
 Bingo sunning herself:

Soliciting belly rubs.

Ah-choo!

Bat girl!

SNOW!

Dancing.

This was so funny. Reggie found this old cup under the deck. I looked out the window to see him doing the death shake that dogs do. You know the kind; where they shake their heads, clutching whatever it is in their mouths. Like my shoe. Anyway, here he is:

Come on, Bingo! Let's play!

And then he trotted off behind the deck for more privacy.

Hullo.
 Non-Snowy Part Again
Hullo.

M&M Monday

 HAPPY Labor Day!

I usually write M&M Monday & pre-post on Sunday. Today I'm writing in real time. We are coming up on our one-year anniversary together, and I marvel at how much I love these girls and how grateful I am for them. Here's a sweet pic of Maggie from yesterday trotting up the ramp:

Tum-dee-dum

These are from this morning. Do you notice something?

Besides the Sniff Fest going on . . . that's right, leaves on the ground. Fall is starting to . . . fall. Speaking of sniffing, here's Millie:

I love watching her sniff. Did you know that when you cook, dogs can smell each individual ingredient? They smell everything. So what a delicious thing for them to be outside --squirrels and deer and bears, oh my!  Speaking of . . .

Maggie led the chase! Of course they had scampered away before the girls got there.

*sniff*sniff*sniff*

Millie all tuckered out after the chase:

Look at that squishy-face. So SWEET.  :-)
