One Book July 2017

I wasn't going to do One Book July this year. I did it for the first time last year with my Tea Time Travlers Notebook, and it really helped me to define what I wanted in a planner and how to create a workable system. So I didn't really think there was anything new I could do!  However, the theme was "Go Big or Go Home" and is up for interpretation.

A coupla weeks ago, I got a Webster's ring bound planner that was damaged; the rings were detached at one end. So I got it for 75% off it's already sale price of $29.99.  WOO and HOO!   So I moved my work planner into the new Websters, after I removed the rings and converted it into a Travelers Notebook.  I really like the pockets in this new planner. It's a bit bulkier than my original TN, but that's OK. I'm really liking it.  So here's a flip thru:

Mother Mary TN

I got a really sweet, 5-year journal that had awful paper; I even left a review.  No "Before" pictures, (I know!  Bad blogger!) so click on the link to see what it looked like before I gutted it. And here's the "After" :

I googled different photos & chose this for the cover.

This is for my friend Christen.

The book was that pretty teal blue, but I used a metallic gold around the edges. Kinda went a little crazy with it, here's the back of book:

Pocket on inside cover of Mother Mary, laminated. I did 5 inserts; the first with another Mother Mary image:

And then the next 4 inserts were each of the archangels:

These were extras that I had laminated. It was hard choosing which pictures to use for this project. There is so much beautiful art work through the centuries!

I didn't want to post this until after I'd given it to Christen, and then I forgot until I remembered. 

You can turn any book into a travelers notebook. So if you like a cover, but not the contents, give it a go!

New Travelers Notebook for Chiro-Sis

Ruth gave me a Tyrell's potato chip bag and asked me to make a 2017 planner for her. I did a travelers notebook. The materials I used:

• Kraft-Tex
• acrylic paints
• stamp (sorry, no link) It's an old, round, damasky-sort of pattern.
• Silver metallic paint pen
