Quote of the Day

Beautiful tea cup from the Graphics Fairy. And quote from one of my favourite authors. I've been writing this blog for almost 4 years and have started to categorize and create pages. I've been updating my quotes page and I came across the above quote. I had slapped this quote up on March 12, 2008. But out of all the quotes I've posted, I couldn't tell you the dates of any of them. Except this one on a morning that was uneventful and ordinary. When I was updating my Favourite Quotes page, and I came across this quote, it brought back the day that I had been so nonchalant in posting. This was the day that Remi died so suddenly, without warning. So I needed to do something to diffuse the grief that was still lingering. A pretty tea cup makes it better.

My sweet Remi.

In Love

That got your attention! ;-) I've been sifting thru Petfinder & I found this:

2 labweiler gals, much like Barkley & Remi. Look at that face. Ah, Mickey Mouse. I know Mum is looking at the photo and thinking, "Look at that hair." I never resented vacuuming everyday with B & R. It was just part of the daily ritual and I thought about how much I loved them. And here's another confession: Since they died, I've never washed the windows where their noseprints are. Really? I'm sentimental over dog snot?! Apparently I am.

I emailed Miss Ruthie for her advice. She was with me when I picked out Barkley at 3 weeks old, And she held Remi just hours after Barkley had her puppies. She is my expert on all creatures great & small, including children. She said that M & M remind her of Barkley & Remi & to go visit them. So I'm waiting to call . . . and in the meantime, I've got many busys on my Bevy List.

Day of Rest

SO SWEET.

Found this photo of Remi, one I've not posted before. Look at that face. As I've been contemplating getting a new dog, memories come back of Barkley and Remi. What sweetness they brought into my life.

goes better with dogs. ~Ben Stein

What is Real?

Last night Remi came to me in a dream. It was so sweet. We had a nice visit. Was it real? What is real?
LOVE is real.

Labyrinth Quote

The heart speaks what the mind fears.

This was the message that came to me as I stood at the center of the labyrinth this morning. I don’t leave the center until I feel that sense of Presence and Stillness.

*SIGH* Sometimes I stand for a long time.

It’s easier to get there when I remember moments with Remi, leaning against me. It’s no good trying to listen to the heart in any other state other than stillness because it whispers . . . so that you'll . . . pause . . . to listen. . . .That doesn’t mean being physically still. I’ve gotten these little insights while on a walk or riding my bike. It definitely has to be a present moment experience, tho, with no other thoughts but NOW.

So the question is What are you fearing? And the answer is: SO WHAT.
