HAPPY Anniversary, John & Mel!

It's a rare thing when you meet a couple who are really happy together. There's a Jack for every Jill, and that would be John & Mel. It's the kind of relationship where they finish each other's sentences, and Mel tells John what he's thinking. Haha

They have been dear family friends for years and Mel is the Crossword Queen with Mum on Sundays. John is the Fix It King. When I first moved into the River House, he saved me from burning down the house from a dryer fire. He is also one of the funniest people I know & he & Mel together are very entertaining. I tell them that they could have their own reality show.

At the River House, fishin' on the Shenandoah.

Hullo.

That's some kind of fancy-fish. And see what his T-shirt says?

John & Mel helped Mum by transporting the red cup holder chair over to her place  from the River House. John suggested labels for the cup holders: Snooze Button & Ejector Button. Hahahaha

John & Mel at the end of moving day. I could not have done it without them.

They are some of the kindest, most positive people I know. John Morgan has often said to me, "Always leave people in a better place than you found them." John & Mel do just that. So HAPPY Anniversary! You make the world a better place to be with your kindness and generosity of spirit. I wish you all the BEST for a BEAUTIFUL day!

M&M Monday

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!

A year ago today, I picked up M&M and brought them home. I felt compelled to get them, even tho I knew that taking on another pair of senior dogs would be a lot of work. But it has been totally worth it! They are my sweet girls, and I am so grateful to have them.

I've mentioned before that Millie likes tea--well, not any tea. Apparently, she is only partial to my PG Tips; proper British tea. I was in the other room, and I heard a slight thud. I came out to see that Millie had maneuvered my tea cup onto her dog bed and was eating the tea bag!

 Heh heh hehhhhhh . . .

Nom nom nom

Maggie's feet

Both girls at my feet, so I stood on the sofa & took a picture.

They snooze throughout the day . . .

Millie spilling off her bed.
[Yes, I know, I know. The bright light from the window; if only I were a REAL photographer!]

Maggie snuck her bone outside & is guarding it from Millie.

While she eats the dirt.  ;-)

I never thought I'd say this, but here's to another year!

P.S. I have successfully failed to upload a video of Maggie thumping her tail. Will try again for next week.

HAPPY Anniversary, Peter!

Today is the one year anniversary of HARO, Help A Reporter Out. This is a free service that links up reporters from all media genres to sources (e.g. y-o-u). Queries come 3 times a day and if you qualify as an expert, you answer them. There are different categories: business, travel, lifestyle, etc. I just recently answered one about labyrinths. And here's an article on dreaming pets that features a picture of Barkley! I've FW'd different queries to friends & fam as they apply. Everyone's an expert at something! Some queries will be specific: e.g. looking only to talk with doctors & acupuncturists. Others are asking for experiences from regular people. The pet dreaming article references both.

HARO was created by Peter Shankman, PR Guy & author of Can We Do That? AWESOME book, BTW. If you are a writer, entrepreneur, or have an expertise in something, become a HARO member & sign up here. Query emails are easy to whip through and Peter keeps them v. entertaining. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, PETER! :-) H.
